Hailing from Dallas, TX, the roots-rock outfit Somebody’s Darling came up in a part of the nation where southern meets western and urban meets rural, so it’s no surprise how effortlessly this group of twenty-somethings blends rock 'n roll with old school R&B and country-funk. Their tunes sound just as good alongside The Stones and The Faces as they do Ryan Adams and The Drive-By Truckers.

Highlights include:

  • Recorded sophomore album "Black Eyes and Alibis" February 2012 at Elmwood Recording with Grammy-Award winning producer/engineer Stuart Sikes. (Anticipated release: summer 2012)
  • Recorded debut LP in Nashville, TN with producer Dan Baird from the Georgia Satellites. Reached #26 on the Americana Radio Chart, sustained Top 40 for nine weeks.
  • Nominated for 2011 Dallas Observer Music Award, "Best Roots-Rock/Alt-Country Act"
  • Nominated for two 2010 Dallas Observer Music Awards, “Best Female Vocalist” and “Best Country Act”
  • Turning in over 400 regional and national shows since August ‘07, both headlining and as support for great artists like: Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, Deer Tick, Ha Ha Tonka, Chris Knight, American Aquarium, James McMurtry, Lucero, Corb Lund, Joe Ely, Stoney LaRue, etc.
